The President called on the head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization to take the helm of Ministry of Science, hours after former minister Reza Faraji Dana failed to win the Iranian lawmakers' vote of confidence in an impeachment session.
Out of the 270 lawmakers present in today's session, 145 legislators voted against Faraji Dana, while 110 voted in his favor, with 115 abstentions.
In a separate decree, President Rouhani appointed Faraji Dana as his advisor for scientific and educational affairs.
