On capacity of the ports for transport of passengers, Saeednejad said that the northern and southern ports are capable of transporting 18 million passengers a year.
He noted that currently 11 commercial ports are active.

Bandarabbas, Hormuzgan Prov., Dec 2, IRNA – Capacity of Iranian ports for loading and offloading cargo has risen to 184 million tons a year, Managing Director of the Ports and Sailing Organization Mohammad Saeednejad said on Tuesday.
