Speaking in a press conference in Baghdad on Tuesday, Al-Abadi referred to Iran’s electoral event on May 19, saying, “I have congratulated Mr. Rouhani on his victory for his second term and Iraq has good relations with all the adjacent countries.”
He also talked about his Tuesday meeting with the Saudi Oil Minister Khalid al-Falih, who has been in Baghdad since Monday, and said in the meeting they had talked about the methods to control world oil price.
Saying that the war against Daesh (ISIS) is his country’s first priority, the Iraqi PM said that the war is going on according to pre-planned goals and Iraq had dealt severe blows to Daesh in Al-Qaem near the Syrian border.
