“The unilateral facilitation in visa issuance on Zimbabwe part is an indication of the eagerness,” Nicholas Dlamini Kitikiti said in a meeting with Iran’s parliament (Majlis) speaker special aid Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Tuesday.
He also noted that his country is willing to expand economic ties, especially in petrochemical and technical services, engineering and pharmaceutical sectors, adding that the main hurdle on the path of promoting ties between the two countries is the lack of proper financial mechanism.
Amir-Abdollahian, for his part, affirmed the ambassador’s remarks on the necessity of relations expansion using political, economic, trade, health and medical capacities.
The Iranian official, emphasizing the importance of inter-parliamentary ties between Iran and Zimbabwe, declared that the parliamentary friendship committee would visit Harare in near future.
Amir-Abdollahian, also, the Secretary-General of International Conference in Support of Palestine Intifadha, urged the solidarity among independent countries in supporting Palestine, appreciating Zimbabwe’s stable position in this regard.
